The 8 Book Standard:
The eight book standard has been adapted from last year's 20 book standard. We realize that there won't be much time this year for free reading, therefore we are only holding you accountable for the 4 texts that we will be reading in class (listed below) and 4 other books, of your choice, that you will need to summarize and present to the class in some way. We expect one of your choice books to be read during each marking period. The books that we will be reading as a class are:

• Under the Blood Red Sun
• Lord of the Flies
• Animal Farm
